The KS-818P series was designed specifically with porcelain artists in mind. The elements fire slower to prevent blistering and to ensure that the porcelain reaches optimum maturity. Fore more capacity, add a 4-1/2" blank ring or order with a permanent 9" wired ring.

* Note: A WR, or "wired ring", is 9" deep ring with elements that may be added to KS818 and KS818P models to increase the chamber size. These rings must be factory installed and therefore must be ordered at the time of purchase. Due to the fact that the elements in Skutt kilns are balanced for uniform heating it is not possible to remove the ring once it is installed.
