Original Dawson Kiln-Sitter® Available Soon!

Skutt Ceramic Products Inc. has finalized a deal with the W. P Dawson Company to bring back the original Dawson Kiln-Sitter®.

As W.P. Dawson scaled back production early last year, the supply of replacement parts and complete Kiln-Sitter® units for building kilns began to dry up.  Although other companies will be offering alternative versions of a cone based shut-off device, we thought it was important to keep the Original Dawson Kiln-Sitter available for our customers.  Here are some of the reasons why:

Known Quality
Dawson has over 50 years experience making Kiln-Sitters® (since 1952).  The Kiln-Sitter® is a precise tool. Any slight variation in production could have negative consequences.  We needed to be sure our customers were not subjected to a learning curve.

U.L. and CSA Listing
We all know how important the Underwriters Laboratory listing is to the comfort level of the school purchasing agents. While there are other safety listings available, none carry the brand awareness of U.L. 

Interchangeable Parts
All parts we will be producing are 100% compatible with the Dawson Kiln-Sitter® units currently in service. This means there is no need for any modifications.

Made In The USA
Every day we are learning more and more how important this is.  Not for just economic and patriotic reasons, but also for reasons of accountability, quality control, and dependability of consistent supply.

Order Today
In order to facilitate planning we will begin taking orders for Kiln-Sitter® Kilns starting immediately.  This will be on a first come, first served basis.  We do anticipate the initial demand to be significant so we suggest you place your order with your Skutt Distributor as soon as possible.
